Marchant grew up in New Orleans, spending his teen years being raised by a Catholic Nun through an organization call Boys Hope Girls Hope, after the loss of both of his parents. In football he found an outlet and success, as he played linebacker at Jesuit High School. He continued his football story at the greatest university in the country- the University of Southern Mississippi- from 1993 to 1997, helping to lead them to a Liberty Bowl win on New Years Eve, 1997. He was inducted into the Southern Miss Sports Hall of Fame in 2009. After graduating, Marchant was signed by the Arizona Cardinals and spent a year playing for the Scottish Claymores. He had a brief career as a sportscaster for WDAM in Hattiesburg, and in 2019 he called Southern Miss's home football games for ESPN. He now works in medical sales and lives with his wife and kids in Lafayette, Louisiana. He is passionate about his Golden Eagles!
